Larva and Host Plants: Host familiy: Ericaceae Rosaceae Salicaceae.  Host genera: Populus Prunus Rhododendron Salix Spiraea.  Notes: larva on terminal shoots (Wagner et al 2001).  (Shropshire & Douglas 2025) Similar Species: Pinned specimens of related species. (Hint: select View by Region on the related species page.) Synonymy: prunivorata (Ferguson, 1955) (Calocalpe) - MONA 1983: 7292 Taxonomic Notes: Rheumaptera prunivorata (Ferguson, 1955), previously listed in the genus in Hydria (Hodges et al. 1983) and then alternately in Rheumaptera, new synonymy in Scoble (1999), and Hydria (Hausmann & Viidalepp 2012), is placed in Rheumaptera following the implied synonymy in Brehm et al. (2019) (see notes under Rheumaptera undulata (Linnaeus, 1758), the type species of Rheumaptera.)
