Similar Species: Pinned specimens of related species. (Hint: select View by Region on the related species page.) Synonymy: basaliata (Walker, 1862) (Larentia) - MONA 1983: 7316 explagiata (Walker, 1863) (Cidaria) taeniata of authors; (not Stephens, 1831) (Emmelesia) misappl. Taxonomic Notes: Martania basaliata (Walker, 1862), n. comb. in Òunap et al. (2019), was formerly in the genus Perizoma.
