Distribution: West of the Continental Divide. In some places just East of the Divide (Colorado, Alberta) overlap with 7855 - Hemaris diffinis is known and specific identity becomes problematical when based on photographs. Similar Species: Pinned specimens of related species. (Hint: select View by Region on the related species page.)
