Distribution: USA: Florida. Similar Species: Pinned specimens of related species. (Hint: select View by Region on the related species page.) Synonymy: violescentalis Hampson 1895 (Syngamia); Type locality: Greenland micralis Hampson 1907 (Deuterophysa); Type locality: Runaway Bay,Jamaica Taxonomic Notes: Cangetta violescentalis (Hampson, 1895), n. comb., was formerly in the genus Deuterophysa and includes as a synonym Cangetta micralis (Hampson, 1907); generic placement follows the treatment of micralis in Hayden & Dickel (2014).
