Synonymy: baccatalis Hulst 1892 (Loxostege) - MONA 1983: 5152 Taxonomic Notes: Diastictis baccatalis (Hulst, 1892), n. comb., was formerly in the genus Samea (Hayden & Scholtens in Pohl & Nanz (eds.) 2023).
