Synonymy: griphalis Hulst 1886 (Aglossa) emend. - MONA 1983: 5541 gripalis Hulst 1886 (Aglossa) orig. missp. angustipennis Warren 1891 (Ugra) centralis Dyar 1910 (Acallis); Type locality: Williams, AZ fernaldi Ragonot 1891 (Acallis) Taxonomic Notes: Acallis griphalis (Hulst, 1886) includes as a synonyms Acallis gripalis (Hulst, 1886) (orig. missp.) (Hulst 1886:xxiv) and Accalis centralis in Solis et al. (2013). The name "griphalis" was erroneously treated as a misspelling in Hodges et al. (1983).
