Synonymy: alaskense Povolný, 1967 (Gnorimoschema)   Type locality: Holotype: "St. Paul Id., Alaska". Taxonomic Notes: Gnorimoschema alaskense Povolný, 1967, described as a subspecies of Gnorimoschema valesiella (Staudinger, 1877), has now been elevated to full species status in Huemer & Karsholt (2010) (Nazari, V. & J-F. Landry 2012:23-24).
