Synonymy: abraxasella Walker 1864 (Psecadia) ssp. a. abraxasella Walker 1864 (Psecadia) aureoapicella Möschler 1890 (Psecadia) ssp. b. clarissa Busck 1914 (Ethmia) Taxonomic Notes: Ethmia abraxasella (Walker, 1864) is now recognized within the North American fauna north of Mexico.
