Synonymy: thoracenigraeella (Chambers, 1875) (Gelechia) - MONA 1983: 903 novimundi (Walsingham, 1881) (Depressaria) thoracinigrella (Meyrick, 1922) (Depressaria) emend.; TL: (no type). Taxonomic Notes: Exaeretia thoracenigraeella (Chambers, 1875) was formerly in the genus Depressariodes, n. syn. in Becker (1984), Rev. Bras. Entomol., 28(2): 142.
