Synonymy: grandis (Strecker, 1881) (Trochilium) - MONA 1983: 2539 beckeri (Druce, 1892) (Melittia) hermosa (Engelhardt, 1946) (Melittia) Taxonomic Notes: Eichlinia grandis (Strecker, 1881), n. comb. (Gorbunov 2020), was formerly in the genus Melittia.
