Distribution: Introduced from Europe.
Similar Species:
  • 3412 Dichrorampha sedatana has thin median and post median lines irrotated with black and yellowish brown scales. D. aeratana lacks the black scales on the median lines.

Synonymy:
  • aeratana (Pierce & Metcalfe, 1915) (Lipoptycha)
      Type locality: Great Britain.
  • Taxonomic Notes: Dichrorampha aeratana (Pierce & Metcalfe, 1915) is now recognized within the North American fauna north of Mexico, first reported from Vermont, 2009, VES News, 64: 9-10; figs. 2.
