Distribution: Alaska south to southern California and east to Saskatchewan (BOLD). Colorado and British Columbia (pulsatillana), California (siskiyouensis) (Heinrich 1923).
Larva and
Host Plants:
"Pulsatilla hirsutissima" (pasqueflower), Clematis (Heinrich 1923).
Similar Species:

      Type locality: Foothills at Boulder and Golden, CO.
  • ssp. b. siskiyouensis Heinrich, 1923 (Epinotia)
      Type locality: Shasta Retreat, Siskiyou Co., CA.
      Note: Originally described as a variety of pulsatillana Dyar, 1903.
  • Taxonomic Notes: Epinotia pulsatillana (Dyar, 1903) includes as a subspecies 3285.1 Epinotia siskiyouensis Heinrich, 1923.
