Similar Species:
  • Pelochrista bolanderana (Walsingham, 1879): brown of forewing is comparatively solid, not reticulated as in nr. bolanderana.
  • Pelochrista hazelana (Klots, 1936) may be out of range in Arizon. The subbasl fascia of forewing runs from costa to dorsal margin, not incomplete and outwardly angled as in nr. bolanderana.
  • Pinned specimens of related species. (Hint: select View by Region on the related species page.)

  • Taxonomic Notes: Pelochrista nr. bolanderana (Walsingham, 1879) is a possibly undescribed species found in Arizona represented at BOLD by BIN group BOLD:AAP5998.
