Distribution: USA: OR (Huemer, 1988), WA (BOLD); Canada: BC (BOLD). Lectotype: Great Britain. Similar Species: Pinned specimens of related species. (Hint: select View by Region on the related species page.) Synonymy: • Recurvaria proxima Haworth, 1828 • Gelechia horticola Peyerimhoff, 1871 • Gelechia maculiferella Douglas, 1851 • Gelechia maculivicinella Bruand d´Uzelle, 1859 Taxonomic Notes: Caryocolum proxima (Haworth, 1828) is now recognized within the North American fauna north of Mexico from Eugene. OR (Huemer, 1988).
