Description/
Field Marks:
"Head and forehead snow-white; Antennae brownish white, which is ringed; Simple white button; Thorax snow-white. The three pairs of legs are white, spotted with plenty of dark brown and curled; Body gray, below white; its rings light brown on the sides, then with dark brown quei belts on the basal surface.
The basic color of the fore wings is a light golden brown like Pavoniella. The white drawings are finely framed in black. In these, starting at the root of the dorsal edge, a notable, irregularly shaped triangle is particularly striking, characterized by a broad (dorsal) base and a bent tip, which, directed towards the wing root, reaches the anterior margin. A second triangular dorsal spot, extending to the corner of the anal angle, is smaller, and its obtuse tip ends in the fold.
If we now go over to the costal edge of the forewing, we encounter three white costal spots here. The first, a crooked check mark, is halfway down the length of the wing; the second, a small and narrow similar thing, which appears at four fifths, and the last, a semicircular spot with a broad, black-encircled convexity, occupies the wing tip. A delicate, wavy, dark line running in front of the fringe ties it to the base of the posterior dorsal triangle. The fringes show the golden-brown basic color in the wing tip, become lighter towards the anal angle, and have a whitish ray under the tip.
Hind wing massively dark gray; Franzen lights. Gray below; the apical and the rearmost dorsal spot shimmers through it." - Frey & Boll (Google translation).
