Description/ Field Marks: |
See Powell (1969) and Davis & Medeiros (2003). |
Similar Species: |
- Adela eldorada Powell, 1969 is best distinguished by habitat: forests and chaparral for eldorada; meadows and grassy hillsides, frequently on flowers, for trigrapha. DNA barcode cannot at present be used to separate the two species. At present, they form a complex which includes six BIN groups narrowly separated by DNA barcoded, suggesting the possibility of undescribed species or alternatively a single species with several subspecies (Steve Nanz, pers. comm., 2024).
- Pinned specimens of related species. (Hint: select View by Region on the related species page.)
