Distribution: Southeastern Arizona. Pine forest. Elevations ~ 7,700 ft.
and Size:
Mid-June. Wingspan ~ 25 mm.
Field Marks:
Superficially similar to L. atara but:
  • Significantly larger;
  • More extensive and brighter pink on hindwing;
  • Pink ventral surfaces to both wings
  • Similar Species:
