Distribution: UT, CO, AZ, NM, western TX. Type locality: Glenwood Springs, CO. Similar Species: 9254 Acronicta afflicta 9255 Acronicta brumosa 9255.2 Acronicta wiklei Pinned specimens of related species. (Hint: select View by Region on the related species page.) Synonymy: • Acronycta liturata Smith, 1897 Taxonomic Notes: Acronicta liturata (Smith, 1897) is raised from subspecies of 9255 Acronicta brumosa (Guenée, 1852) to full species status in Schmidt & Anweiler (2020), MONA Fascicle 25.4: 137.
