Larva and Host Plants: Host familiy: Cyperaceae Poaceae.  Host genera: Cladium Digitaria.  Notes: saw grass & other swamp grasses (Beadle & Leckie 2012).  (Shropshire & Douglas 2025) Similar Species: Pinned specimens of related species. Synonymy: muscosula (Guenée, 1852) (Erastria) - MONA 1983: 9047 Taxonomic Notes: Protodeltote muscosula (Guenée, 1852) was formerly placed in the genus Lithacodia, Bull. Kitakyushu Mus. Nat. Hist., 5: 91-133. The genus Protodeltote was subsumed within Deltote as a subgenus by Fibiger et al. (2009) and re-instated by Schmidt et al. (2018), ZooKeys, 788: 247.
