Distribution: Texas Similar Species: Pinned specimens of related species. (Hint: select View by Region on the related species page.) Taxonomic Notes: Cobubatha nr. hippotes was included in Hodges et al. (1983) (Checklist) as Cobubatha hippotes (Druce, 1889) based on records from Texas which are now known to be of a related undescribed species, ZooKeys, 788: 247.
