Distribution: USA: TX to AZ. Similar Species: Marathyssa pyrastis (Hampson, 1905) is fould in FL. Pinned specimens of related species. (Hint: select View by Region on the related species page.) Synonymy: furcata (Walker, 1865) (Penicillaria) - MONA 1983: 8968.1 distracta (Walker, 1865) (Eutelia) nattereri (Felder & Rogenhofer, 1898) (Eutelia) pertanda (Dyar, 1925) (Eutelia) piratica (Schaus, 1940) (Eutelia) Taxonomic Notes: Marathyssa furcata (Walker, 1865), new combination following Zahiri et al. (2023), was formerly in the genus Eutelia.
