Synonymy: esmeralda (Oberthür, 1880) (Plusia) moneta of authors; (not Fabricius, 1787) (Noctua) misappl. trabea (Smith, 1895) (Deva) Taxonomic Notes: Polychrysia esmeralda: Formerly listed as Polychrysia moneta, an Asian species from which P. esmeralda is now considered distinct.
