Taxonomic Notes: Catocala allusa Hulst, 1884 was synonymized as a subspecies of 8811 Catocala faustina Hulst, 1884 by Gall & Hawks (2010), ZooKeys, 39: 44. Some authors informally treat this taxon as a full species.
