Distribution: USA: AZ. Similar Species: Pinned specimens of related species. (Hint: select View by Region on the related species page.) Synonymy: idonea Stoll, in: Cramer [1782] 1780 (Phalaena); Type locality: Suriname idonoides Poole 1989 (Calyptis) emend. Note: Invalid replacement name. Taxonomic Notes: Calyptis idonea Stoll [1782] is provisionally added the the checklist of the moths of North America north of Mexico; one specimen collected by C.W. Melton from Ramsey Canyon, Huachuca Mts., Cochise Co., AZ, 8/27/2022.
