Distribution: Holotype: USA: Florida, Collier Co.: Fakahatchee Strand Preserve State Park.
Similar Species:
  • 8375.1 Bleptina verticalis has dark gray-brown forewings vs. light brown color of B. flavivena.

Bleptina hydrillalis of authors not Guenée, 1854
Taxonomic Notes: Bleptina flavivena Troubridge, 2020, n. sp., Insecta Mundi, 0789: 4; Fig. 2a, 2b, 55, 107.
This species was formerly listed as Bleptina hydrillalis of authors; not Guenée, 1854. "True" B. hydrillalis is extralimital.
