Distribution: West of the Rockies Similar Species: 8367 Tetanolita palligera is a western species. 8367.01 Tetanolita nr. palligera ranges from Mexico north to Utah and east to New England. Not reliably identified without dissection or DNA. 8368 Tetanolita floridana is an eastern species. Antenna of male has node within basal third. Otherwise, may not be reliably separated from R. sobrialis but on average tends to have a more irregular median band, a dark patch at the apex and a more contrasting st. line which continues onto the HW. 8387 Renia sobrialis is an eastern species. Antenna of male has node beyond basal third. Pinned specimens of related species. (Hint: select View by Region on the related species page.) Synonymy: palligera (Smith, 1884) (Heterogramma) - MONA 1983: 8367 greta Smith, 1909 (Tetanolita)
