Distribution: Southern Wyoming south to border. Similar Species: Pinned specimens of related species. (Hint: select View by Region on the related species page.) Synonymy: ambigua (Strecker, 1878) (Halesidota) - MONA 1983: 8218 bolteri (Edwards, 1884) (Seirarctia) Taxonomic Notes: Pseudohemihyalea ambigua (Strecker, 1878) is transferred from genus Aemilia by Schmidt (2009).
