Distribution: Canada: NS to southern SK; USA: ME south to FL and west to MN and TX - Miller et al. (2021) Similar Species: Pinned specimens of related species. (Hint: select View by Region on the related species page.) Synonymy: lignicolor Walker, 1855 (Ianassa) - MONA 1983: 8017; TL: "United States.". lignigera (Walker, 1865) (Exaereta); TL: "United States.". virgata Packard, 1864 (Ianassa); TL: Cambridge, MA; Seekonk, MA; Lansing, MI. Taxonomic Notes: Ianassa lignicolor Walker, 1855, n. comb. in Miller et al. (2021), was formerly in the genus Oligocentria.
