Distribution: Southern Arizona; south into Mexico (SierraMadre Occidental) at least to Zacatecas - Peigler & Kendall (1993).
Type locality: Arizona.
Similar Species:
  • Pinned specimens of related species. (Hint: select View by Region on the related species page.)
Synonymy: Saturnia anona Ottolengui, 1903
Agapema interrupta Draudt, 1929
Taxonomic Notes: Agapema anona (Ottolengui, 1903) formerly included as subspecies Agapema dyari Cockerell, 1914 and Agapema platensis Peigler & Kendall, 1993, both returned to full species (St Laurent in Pohl & Nanz (eds.) 2023).
