Distribution: Southern TX. Description/ Field Marks: See Holotype, BOLD sample BC-FMP-1470 in references. Similar Species: Pinned specimens of related species. (Hint: select View by Region on the related species page.) Synonymy: tamaulipasiana Brechlin & Meister, 2014 (Syssphinx); TL: Mexico, Tamaulipas, Buenavista. Taxonomic Notes: Syssphinx tamaulipasiana Brechlin & Meister, 2014, n. sp., Entomo-Satsphingia, 7(3):12, is now recognized within the North American fauna with records from southern Texas.
