Description/
Field Marks:
Caution: Specimens identified here as hilumaria may represent a species in the genus Hygrochroma, possibly the "extralimital" H. blaziaria or close to it. Further study it needed.
Similar Species:
  • Pinned specimens of related species. (Hint: select View by Region on the related species page.)
Synonymy:
  • hilumaria Hulst 1886 (Endropia) - MONA 1983: 6871; Type locality: Colorado
  • Taxonomic Notes: Neoselenia hilumaria (Hulst, 1886) was formerly in the genus Caripeta. The Neotropical genus Neoselenia was formally described by Pitkin (2002) with hilumaria as its sole representative from north of Mexico.
