Similar Species: Pinned specimens of related species. (Hint: select View by Region on the related species page.) Synonymy: geometroides (Walker, 1854) (Melanochroia [sic]) - MONA 1983: 6617 mors (Lucas, 1857) (Glaucopis) Taxonomic Notes: Melanchroia geometroides Walker, 1854, incorrectly listed in Hodges et al. (1983) (Checklist) with the genus spelling "Melanochroia", was corrected to Melanchroia in Parsons et al. (1999).
