Taxonomic Notes:	Epimecis hortaria (Fabricius, 1794) informally includes as a synonym 6600 Epimecis subaustralis (Hulst, 1898). "I have seen an image of the only syntype of Epimecis subaustraulis that a colleague at the USNM could find. While the condition is poor, I think there is no doubt that it is properly considered a synonym of E. hortaria. Definitely not Almodes." - Charles Covell (pers. comm., 10/18/2018)
