Description/ Field Marks: Wing length: males, 10–12 mm; fe- males, 11–13 mm. Males have bipectinate antennae. Similar Species: Psamatodes atrimacularia (Barnes & McDunnough, 1913) males have simple antennae; females are best separated by dissection. Pinned specimens of related species. Synonymy: pallidata (Warren, 1897) (Xenoecista) trimaculata (Warren, 1906) (Macaria) Taxonomic Notes: Psamatodes pallidata (Warren, 1897) includes as a synonym Macaria trimaculata (Warren, 1906).
