Distribution: Holotype: Cameron Bay, Great Bear Lake, NT. Type locality (wrangeliensis): Vrangel Island, Gusinaya, U.S.S.R. Similar Species: Pinned specimens of related species. (Hint: select View by Region on the related species page.) Synonymy: • Oidaematophorus albilobatus McDunnough, 1939 • Leioptilus wrangeliensis Zagulajev, 1985 Taxonomic Notes: Hellinsia albilobata (McDunnough, 1939) includes as a synonym Leioptilus wrangeliensis Zagulajev, 1985 (Matthews in Pohl & Nanz (eds.) 2023).
