Distribution: Suggested by Heppner as a species straying into, but not breeding in, Florida.
Similar Species:
  • 6121.1 - Stenoptilodes taprobanes and 6122 - S. brevipennis are very similar species that cannot realiably be identified by photographs. They require dissection and examination of genitalia (or DNA analysis) in order to be positively identified.
  • Pinned specimens of related species. (Hint: select View by Region on the related species page.)
