Taxonomic Notes: Hypsopygia nostralis (Guenée, 1854) was a synonym of Herculia sordidalis (B. & McD., 1913) in Hodges et al. (1983) (Checklist). This species was placed in the genus Ocrasa in Shaffer and Solis (1995) and subsequently transferred to the genus Hypsopygia in Leraut (2006).
