Taxonomic Notes: Euphyes vestris (Boisduval, 1852) includes as a subspecies kiowah Reakirt, 1866 following Pelham (in Pohl & Nanz (eds.) 2023) and Pelham (2023) (Online Catalogue), a taxon reinstated as a full species in Zhang et al. (2022), Insecta Mundi 0921: 89. Pelham (2023) included the note, "This treatment is not adopted here until further review.”
