Distribution: Holotype: "Maryland, Montgomery Co., Plummers Island". Similar Species: Thyraylia voxcana (Kearfott, 1907) Pinned specimens of related species. (Hint: select View by Region on the related species page.) Synonymy: • Phalonia gunniana Busck, 1907 Taxonomic Notes: Thyraylia gunniana (Busck, 1907), formerly in the genus Cochylis, was number 3827 in Hodges et al. (1983) (Checklist).
