  • Rolandylis maiana (Kearfott, 1907) is best separated by genitalia.
  • Rolandylis fusca Pogue, 2001 forewing ground color is fuscous, not cream as in virilia.

The number 3838 was applied to 3837 Rolandylis maiana and the number 3757 was applied to 3757.2 Aethes louisiana in Hodges et al. (1983) (Checklist).
