Synonymy: • Hysterosia canariana Barnes & Busck, 1920 Taxonomic Notes: Phtheochroa canariana (Barnes & Busck, 1920) was number 3795 in Hodges et al. (1983) (Checklist). This species was previously listed erroneously as a synonym of 3815 (3792 in the 1983 checklist) Phtheochroa fulviplicana.
