Acleris caryosphena (Meyrick, 1937) includes is treated as a full species in Karsholt et al. (2015). Dang illustrations of genitalia show significant differences between the two species. The names ferrugana of authors; (not [Denis & Schiffermüller], 1775), notana of authors; (not Donovan, [1806]) , and tripunctana of authors; (not Hübner, [1799]) (Tortrix) are listed as synonyms by Gilligan & Brown (in Pohl & Nanz (eds.) 2023). |
