Taxonomic Notes: Ancylis comptana of authors, not (Frölich, 1828) is treated as a cryptic species with "true" A. comptana listed as extralimital (Palearctic) in Gilligan et al. (2020), Insects, 11(9), 594: 1-59.
Current North American synonyms of A. comptana of which A. conflexana (Walker, 1863) has priority, await revision.
