Distribution: Type locality: USA, Maine/Massachusetts. Similar Species: Pinned specimens of related species. (Hint: select View by Region on the related species page.) Synonymy: • Phoxopteryx subaequana Zeller, 1876 • Anchylopera fergusoni McDunnough, 1958 • Phoxopteryx kincaidiana Fernald, 1900 Taxonomic Notes: Ancylis subaequana (Zeller, 1876) includes as a subspecies the former 3355.1 Ancylis fergusoni (McDunnough, 1958).
