Distribution: Type locality: Texas. Similar Species: Pinned specimens of related species. (Hint: select View by Region on the related species page.) Synonymy: • Tinea obscurostrigella Chambers, 1874 • Cephitinea longinella Zagulajev, 1964 Taxonomic Notes: Cephimallota obscurostrigella (Chambers, 1874) was formerly in the genus Cephitinea, n. gen. syn. in Gaedike (2019).
