Synonymy: trepidulum (Heinrich, 1926) (Exartema) REV. STAT.; TL: Hampton, N.H. zelleriana of authors; (not Fernald, 1882) (Eccopis) misappl. Taxonomic Notes: Olethreutes trepidulum (Heinrich, 1926), rev. stat., formerly treated as a synonymy of Olethreutes diallacta (Meyrick, 1932) in Brown (2005), is restored to full species status in Gilligan & Brown in Pohl & Nanz (eds.) (2023).
