Taxonomic Notes: |
Orthotaenia undulana ([Denis & Schiffermüller], 1775) is treated as a European species also found in Alaska with specimens from the US and southern Canada, previously treated by authors as O. undulana, regarded as a cryptic species in Gilligan et al. (2020), Insects, 11(9), 594: 1-59. A future split could result in the elevation of O. campestrana (Zeller, 1876), currently a synonym of O. undulana, to full species with O. dilutifuscana Walsingham, 1879, also currently a synonym of O. undulana, treated as a junior synonym of O. campestrana. |
