Distribution: Type locality: Dominica. Paratypes: Florida Genitalia: See Diakonoff (1964). Similar Species: Pinned specimens of related species. Synonymy: • Bactra philocherda Diakonoff, 1964 • Bactra philerocherda Brown & Lewis, 2001 Taxonomic Notes: Bactra philocherda Diakonoff, 1964, n. sp., Zool. Verh., 70(1): 31. apparently overlooked in the Hodges 1984 Checklist but possibly omitted for lack of recent records, is added the NA Checklist, paratypes from Florida.
