Distribution: Southern CA (introduced) - iNaturalist.
Type Locality (emplecta Turner, 1942): Cairns, QLD, Australia.
Type Locality (sexfasciella Sauber, 1902): Philippines.
Type Locality (fulminea Meyrick, 1912, syn. of C. sexfasciella): "Ceylon, Trincomali".

  • Choreutis sexfasciella (Sauber, 1902)

Taxonomic Notes: Choreutis emplecta (Turner, 1942) is now recognized within the North American fauna north of Mexico with multiple reports from southern California and specimens analyzed by Dr. Marc Epstein at CDFA who notes that Choreutis sexfasciella (Sauber, 1902) cannot at present be separated and may be conspecific.
