Distribution: Distribution. Canada: AB, BC; USA: AZ, CO, NM, OR, SD, TX, UT, WA, WY. (Heppner 1984). Holotype: Saanichton, Vancouver Island, BC. Seasonality and Size: May-August. Larva and Host Plants: "Unknown (possibly Mahonia repens (Lindl.) G. Don which is the only Mahonia in Alberta)." (Heppner, 1984) Description/ Field Marks: FWL: 8.0-11.5 mm. Genitalia: See Heppner, 1984: figs. 30, 32, 43, 44. Similar Species: Pinned specimens of related species. (Hint: select View by Region on the related species page.)
